D3P DRIVER UPGRADE for SM8-TOP2V version 4


Starting with the 4.0.0.0 version of the D3P driver for the TOP2V, an overhauled management of the programming for the yarnfeeders parameters has been introduced via an extensive modification.

This feature requires a compulsory upgrade of D3P software to version 4.4.0.0 or following and of machine software to version:

  • r75545 or following for machines with 2014 electronics
  • r52754 - 005.015.001 or following for machines with 2009 electronics


IMPORTANT NOTES FOR THE USER
Warning

Program chains written with a previous D3P driver version can be read but, once saved, they can not be used with older D3P drivers.

Warning

Computer station

New program chains are recognised only by this (or following) version of the D3P driver. The user must upgrade all programming stations at the local factory and at remote branches at the same time.

If program chains are provided to third parties, these too must upgrade their D3P drivers.

Warning

Machine

If this D3P driver is installed, the user must upgrade the machine software on board all SM8-TOP2V at the local factory and at remote branches.

If encoded chains are provided to third parties, these too must upgrade the software on board their machines.

The new machine software can read encoded chains created with previous versions of the D3P driver; thus it is not necessary to encode again all the program chains in the archive.
